AGL’s Liddell Power Station Ash Dam Capping
Ray was employed by AGL to oversee the capping of the first Ash Dam for the Liddell Power Station closure
UMA3 Union and Mont Albert Roads Level Crossing Removals
Ray initially worked with the lead construction manager to plan the occupation with each of the discipline leads. He then assisted in the delivery as the day shift civil lead for the 93-day occupation. SCE also provided top up supervision as needed for the delivery of the bulk earthworks and structures.
North East North Alliance
Ray and SCE were engaged by the Acciona Macca Alliance as a subject matter expert to review the constructability and methodology of the North Section of NEL.

Past Projects
Craigieburn Sewer Transfer Hub
The project involves the design and construction of a new sewage treatment facility with a hydraulic capacity of 140ML/day. The new treatment facility is designed to integrate with the existing Western Treatment Plant.
SCE was awarded the bulk earthworks portion of this project. This included 160,000 bm3 of ripping and rock breaking also disposal of rock. Detailed excavation of inlet and outlet structures, foundation/footings for 50m diameter sewage storage tanks.

Westkon Precast Concrete Pty Ltd
Construction of new laydown hardstand areas / New staff Carpark / Foundation Excavation of Stressing Beds.
Contract works required to complete all facets of projects as directed by Senior Project Engineer.
Hardstand area was 90,000 m2 this included all drainage work which was constructed to take a 900kpa wheel loading.

Mernda Rail Extension.
SCE was awarded the contract for the bulk excavation / detailed excavation around bridge abutments along with batters and subgrade around Area 1 of the project site. This also included rock excavation.

About Ray
Ray Wall has established his own consulting practice to undertake work with clients based on his experience and knowledge gained over more than 42 years in the construction world. Most of his recent assignments are related to construction issues, tender reviews, helping clients derive better outcomes.
Working as a consultant, Ray has worked with some of the major Australian construction and engineering companies on the issues of construction methodology, earthworks requirements, design reviews, program review and innovation for a wide variety of projects.
Generally known as one to challenge conventional thinking, Ray has delivered on many innovative ideas to save time and money on projects. He has been involved in numerous design and construct contracts and alliance contracts throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Having joined Leighton Contractors in 1995 he worked his way from an operator up to Construction Manager. Ray worked on some of Victorias largest most recognized projects including Southern Cross Station, Federation Square, Eastlink M1 Interchange, Morwell River Diversion, M80 Deer Park Bypass, Regional Rail, Metro Tunnel Parkville station, Hazelwood Mine Rehabilitation, Northeast Link, Various Level Crossing removals. Ray has worked alongside a group of talented and professional industry Superintendents, Supervisors, operators and foremen of which a few are now working with Sunny Creek Earthmoving. They can be placed to suit your project requirements whether this be long or short term solution. Ray can apply the skills he has learned during his career in assisting parties in Civil Construction Tenders, Tender Submission review, Project establishment services. Ray has Cert IV in Construction Management recently successfully completed his Cert IV in Training & Assessment course and can provide plant assessments and certify plant operators.
His blend of strong technical and industry knowledge is combined with an ability to communicate with people at all levels and gain the trust of people. These attributes and Ray’s ability to quickly get to the heart of an issue are of great value in providing advice to his clients.
